Headmaster's house. c1847. Squared limestone, lateral and ridge stacks, and stone slate roof.
Domestic Tudor Revival style. One storey with attic; 2-window range, with porch at angle
with projecting right-angle gable. Gabled porch with chamfered one-light window above
plank door set in 4-centred arched surround. 2-light stone mullioned window above set in
gabled half dormer with decorative carved bargeboards. Simlar bargeboards and mullioned
windows to right-hand gable, which has oriel window set above 2-light window with 4-
centred arched heads. Interior not inspected.
Historical note: Probably built at the same time as the adjoining school (qv) and built in a
matching architectural style. There were grants for headmaster's houses from 1843. Forms
a good group with the school and the church (qqv)
