house

II

Farmhouse. c.1700, early C19. Red brick, limestone ashlar
dressings. Slate roof with brick coped gables and kneelers,
gable stacks. L-plan. 2 storeys, 5 bay front with first floor
band rising over central doorway with rusticated ashlar surround,
empatically angled keystone, broken pediment and partially glazed
panelled doors. Doorway flanked by single C19 canted bay
windows, each with 3 glazing bar sashes. 5 glazing bar sashes
above, all with segmental heads. Painted C18 staircase with
barley sugar bannisters and moulded handrail.
