Farmhouse. Early C19. Plastered rubble; rubble stacks with C19 brick chimney
shafts; slate roof. Double depth plan house facing south-east with central entrance
hall and staircase between flanking front and rear rooms, main rooms to front and
service rooms to rear. Small service block attached to left (south-west) of front.
End stacks to front rooms and large rear lateral kitchen stack with slate-roofed oven
projection. 2 storeys. Main block has symmetrical 3-window front of original 12-
pane sashes and central 6-panel door, overlight with glazing bars, and flat hood on
shaped timber brackets. Deep eaves. Roof hipped each end and flanked by tall
chimney shafts. Left service block has through-passage doorway with small fixed pane
window with glazing bars over and much lower roof than main house. Rear of house
shows exposed rubble and includes low segmental arches over windows. There are 2
first floor 12-pane sashes and large ground floor 3-light casement with glazing bars.
Interior is little modernised and includes much C19 joinery and plasterwork.
