C17 origins with later rebuilding. Richmond Park was first enclosed by Charles I.
The boundary wall was complete in 1637. About 8 ft in height, brown, red and other
brick, buttressed in places, with chamfered coping. Extent from Borough boundary
south of Ladderstile Gate, to Borough boundary at Beverley Bridge.
