Late C18. Square 2 storey house with some early C19 additions at back.
Bath stone with slight central projection and angle piers. The angle piers
have narrow fluted Ionic pilasters with architrave and curved frieze with
a delicately moulded and bracketted cornice, the cornice alone carried across
front and over central pediment. Plain stone parapet with coping. Hipped
slate roof. 3 windows on lst floor, the outer windows 4 panes wide. 2
large windows, 4 panes wide on ground floor and central 6-panel door, with
raised and shaped central panels, and glazed top panels, arched radiating
fanlight over enriched doorhead in well proportioned Ionic stone porch of
2 fluted columns and wall pilasters, entablature with curved frieze, bracketed
cornice and pediment, lead roof. West front to garden - plain with 2 windows
on lst floor, early C19 bay with French casements to right hand and one
window on ground floor. East elevation similar with 2 windows. Pleasant
garden with large cedar tree.
