Estate cottage. Built C19 with later additions and alterations. Regularly coursed and dressed red sandstone with plain angle quoins; machine tile roofs with pointed wooden finials and cusped bargeboards. Two-room plan with central hall and staircase behind projecting central porch; Gothic style. One storey and gable-lit attic; three-light mullioned and transomed wooden casements with cast-iron latticed lights in moulded stone surrounds with labels to left and right of central gabled porch. This has cusped bargeboards and pointed finial; four-centred outer arch and plain door. Gable ends have mullioned and transomed oriel windows supported on carved brackets. Central sandstone ridge stack with moulded capping.

Late C20 flat-roofed additions to rear and right are not of special architectural interest.
