Late C18 house with warehouse at rear on river side forming L-shaped plan. 3 storeys.
1 window on west side facing The Plains with 6 window return to yard forming main
front on north side. Hipped Welsh slate roof. Rendered stacks with arched, recessed
panels. Red brick, formerly with stucco rusticated block quoins and 1st floor band
(stucco mostly removed). Coved eaves cornice. Recessed sash windows with gauged
flat brick arches, stone keys and glazing bars; ground and 1st floor windows on
north side with gauged segmental brick arches. Cast iron balcony to 1st floor window
on west side. Recessed doorway on north side with rusticated wooden surround, patterned
fanlight with margin lights and raised and fielded 6 panel door modern bracketed
hood. Former warehouse door at east end of north front with semi-elliptical arched
head; half-glazed door with margin light. The building has modern additions on
south and east sides and is in multiple occupation.
