WEM RURAL C.P.
COTON
No. 51

Cottage. Probably C17 with later additions and alterations. Roughcast
timber frame; slate roof. 2 storeys; apparently 2 framed bays. 2
late C20 casements to ground floor with 2 small contemporary casements
above. Internal red brick end stacks in front of ridge to left and
right. Bulge in roughcast to right gable end suggests that apex is
jettied. Entrance through C20 glazed porch against C20 lean-to to
right (not of special architectural interest). Interior: inspection
not possible at time of resurvey (February 1986) but timber frame said
to be substantially intact.
