Early C19 terrace in front of south elevation of Egerton Lodge. Low coped sandstone
parapet with stone tablets carrying the names of the fallen of both wars. Centre
ramped up over balustrade from which steps descend to garden. Tall ashlar end
piers with ball finials. At east end of terrace is a C17 door moved here from
"The Limes" with stone ogee arch and cornice. Door has a large trap said to have
been used to dole out bread to the poor.

Egerton Lodge, its raised terrace, the archway in its eastern garden wall, Lady
Wilton's Bridge including the Horse Wash, Leicester Road and Nos 29 to 33 (odd)
High Street form a group (the latter are buildings of local interest).
