A C18 timber-framed and plastered house. A weatherboarded wing extends to the north-west at the rear. Two storeys and attics. Four window range, C20 casements and one double hung sash with glazing bars. The ground storey has a C20 shop front at the southern end. A six-panel door with the upper panels glazed has a swept canopy hood on console brackets. Roof tiled, mansard, with 2 gabled dormer windows.

Old White Horse, 1 and 2 White Horse Cottages, St Michaels Cottages, Vale House. The Folly, Tyle Barn, Rose Cottage, Butlers, House and Mount Stores, with Old Post House, Parsonage Cottage and House of Retreat form a group.
