Mews house, former stable-coach house of No. 45 Upper Grosvenor Street
q.v. c.1730 with altered front to mews. Brick, concealed roof. 2
storeys 2 windows wide to mews with garage doors. The virtually
unaltered symmetrical, polite elevation to north towards house is 3
windows wide and of painted brick with full height flanking brick
piers. Central depressed arched doorway with keystone and impost
strings linking the semicircular arched and keystoned windows each
side with glazing bars radiating to heads of recessed sashes. The 1st
floor has segmental arched glazing bar sashes flanking central blind
panel. Moulded cornice over ground floor broken over flanking piers
and stone parapet coping likewise broken over them. Rare survival of
stable/coach house polite elevation of this date.
