Corner block of offices and shop. c1900 with later attic. Portland stone, slate
roof. Modified northern Renaissance style. 6 storeys and later dormered
mansard. Prominent corner site with Bridge Street with 5-window wide fronts and
curved 1-window corner. Ground floor has mid c20 shop fronts between pilasters
carrying entablature. Upper floors have mullioned-transomed windows and shallow
oriels flanking and to corner. Pseudo-parapets to each floor with some carved
ornament, projecting as balconies to 3rd and 4th floors. The attic was probably
gabled originally. Included for group value only.
