Barn and cow shelter. Probably late C18. Timber-frame, weatherboards,
corrugated iron roof to barn, stone slate roof to cow shelter. Barn of 7
bays aligned roughly north-west/south-west with 2 lean-to extensions
to south side (not included). Entry via full-height ledged doors in third
bay from east. Frame: rectangular full-height panels for weather boarding,
tension braces to side walls. Interior: double raking struts from tie-
beams, straight tension brace defining threshing floor are crossed diagonally
by a second pair pegged to the first produding a lattice effect. Cowshelter:
L-plan, 2:12 bays, open sided with oak posts on stone plinths; full-length
C18 rack to rear wall. Included for group value.
