3/57 Barn about 25 yards
east of Holsty Farmhouse

GV II

Barn. Probably C18. Sandstone rubble plinth, timber-frame with weatherboards
and Welsh slate roof. Seven structural bays aligned north/south, with thresh-
ing floor in the third bay from the south. Two levels. West elevation has
five loft doors; four ledged doors to left of double-leafed doors to threshing
floor with two to the right, one of which is in a lean-to. Interior has triple
angle struts, three purlins to each side; studs are set at close centres, no
rails between cills and wall-plates; lofts to either side of threshing floor.
