House with commercial premises. C16 front. Rubble with Cotswold stone
roof, off-ridge chimney to left. One storey and attic. Coursed and
squared rubble ground floor booth projection has flat canopy with 2
glazing-bar shop windows (the right hand projecting) flanking a re-set
timber moulded flat arch C17 doorway; Tudor arch doorway to left with
different mouldings. Interior: fragmentary ball-flower courtyard
archway, could be as late as C15 in Burford, good c.1700 staircase with
wide hand-rail, well-spaced turned balusters, turner newel finials and cut
string; the stairs are against the spine wall to West. The front South
room has heavily chamfered cross beams.
