GV II

Group of 6 chest tombs. Late C18 or early C19. Grey sandstone ashlar.
Lloyd tomb to east with raised panels, fluted corner piers and chamfered
top with reeded edges; Humphries tomb to north has paired oval side panels
with carved rosettes and flanking panelled pilaster strips, oval end panels
with carved rosettes, and moulded cornice to flat top; central tomb has
2-bay open side panels with central reeded pier, carved end piers, recessed
oval end panels with central carved rosette and carved husks in spandrels,
and moulded cornice to chamfered top; Ellsmere tomb to south has 2-bay
oval side panels with carved spandrels, fluted corner piers, recessed oval
end panels with carved rosettes, and chamfered top with panelled gables;
Ellsmere tomb to south-west has paired moulded square side panels with
central and flanking fluted pilaster strips raised oval end panels and
moulded cornice to chamfered top with panelled gables; chest tomb to far
south-west with moulded plinth, paired raised and fielded side panels,
flanking fluted pilaster strips, raised and fielded square end panels,
and moulded cornice to flat top.
