Pair of semi-detached cottages, part of a group of 17 cottages
on both sides of the road. Mid C19. Coursed limestone rubble,
triple-Roman tile roof with 3 gabled half-dormers and 2 paired
diagonally-set moulded brick ridge stacks. Vernacular Revival
style. One-unit plans with rear additions.
EXTERIOR: single-storey with attics; symmetrical 3-window
range. 2-light, 2-pane casement windows, those to the
ground-floor under segmental arches. The central dormer, which
is larger, has a similar 3-light window over a slightly
recessed panel with a timber lintel and timber columns
flanking C20 doors. The returns have single-storey canted bays
with hipped stone slate roofs.
