Two houses on corner site. Mid C19. Limestone ashlar to the
east facade, mostly rebuilt and rendered to the north facade,
slate roof hipped to the corner, brick stacks to left gable
end. L-shaped plan with a plain canted corner.
EXTERIOR: 3 storeys; 5-window range to the east, 3-window
range to the right return, north facade. Late C19 horned
plate-glass sash windows. No.24 to the left is 2-window range
with a plinth, platband over the ground floor, a semicircular
arched doorway with roll edge moulding and radial fanlight to
the right and one window to the left. No.23, now a
double-fronted C20 shop,
INTERIOR: not inspected.
HISTORY: maps of 1784 and 1835 show this as the former Lamb
Public House.
