Villa. Early/mid C19. Stucco with masonry lining, gabled Welsh
slated roof with fretted and pierced ornamental barge boards
and fascias, yellow brick chimney at left, and prominent
stuccoed chimney at right, with oversailing modillion cornice
and blocking course. Chimneybreast with 3 superimposed arched
panels with pilasters, semicircular heads and pargeting
keyblocks. 3-bay front, L-plan.
EXTERIOR: 2 storeys. First floor has flush-set French windows
with margin glazing left and right of gabled centre which
breaks forward, with central margin glazed flush-set sash
window. Moulded band at first-floor level; ground floor with
projecting rectangular bay windows left and right with tall
3-light 3-pane casements, with single sidelights, fretted wood
valance. Flat roofs with wooden balcony fronts with stick
balusters and nosed toprails, centre with projecting porch
with 3-pane sidelights, triangular fanlight and tiled gable
roof with fretted and pierced bargeboards.
Irregular fenestration on remaining elevations with 16-pane
sash windows and tall casements; east flank elevation on
boundary has central arcaded chimneybreast as described above,
moulded band at first-floor level with flush-set glazed sash
windows, ground floor and first floor to right.
INTERIOR: not inspected.
SUBSIDIARY FEATURES: boundary wall with brown brick piers and
flint panels.
