Shop with dwelling over. Mid C19 refronting of C18 building.
Front, stucco over brick, rear timber-framed and plastered.
Old tile roof hipped with ridge tiles, set behind parapet to
front, and with yellow brick chimney with red clay pots at
left.
EXTERIOR: 2 storeys. First floor has single timber sash window
with glazing bars recessed, and set centrally in large arcaded
recess. Plat band and blocking course above. Ground floor has
2 Tuscan pilasters at left with blank walling between, and 1
at right. C19 shopfront with twin leaf 3/4 glazed timber doors
with bolection surround to lower panel, and plain fanlight set
centrally and recessed between plate-glazed display windows,
with timber sill above C20 tiled stallriser. Fascia and
moulded cornice at first-floor level. Carriageway to Nos 2 & 4
(qv) at right, with first floor above lining through.
