Gates, screen, and quadrant walls. c1890, reset in early C20
walls. Cast-iron, with red brick laid to header bond, with
Portland stone plinths and copings. Pair of gates with heavy
cast-iron shafts and conical spearhead and bobbin finials,
with slighter lower intermediate shafts of same pattern. Heavy
cast-iron gate piers of 4 clustered shafts, with roll moulded
bases, on square plinth blocks, and moulded bands, cavetto and
roll moulded caps, and ball and spike finials on pedestal
bases. Cast-iron screen to right, similar detail to gates but
without intermediate lower shafts. Quadrant brick walls either
side, with recessed panels, terminating in square brick piers
on road frontage.
