Two houses with a shop to the right. Early C19. Painted
stucco, continuous slate roof with stack to rear. Double-depth
plans.
EXTERIOR: 2 storeys; No.43 is 2-window range, No.44 is
3-window range. 6/6-pane sash windows to the 1st floors;
slightly-curved bays with 10/10-pane sash windows in curved
frames to the ground-floor left of each house, that to No.44
with horns.
No.43 to the left has painted rusticated quoins and a 6-panel
door to the left with pilasters, entablature, panelled reveals
and soffit.
No.44 has a similar central doorcase with reeded lintel,
half-glazed 6-panel door with diagonally-crossed glazing bars
to the overlight, horned 10/10-pane and 6/6-pane sash windows
to the left and a late C19 projecting shop front to the right.
This has double doors with overlight to the left of a
plate-glass window under a fascia with a dentil cornice.
