Pair of houses. C17, altered mid C19. Limestone rubble with
brick party wall stack and stone slate roof to the left and
interlocking tiles to the right.
Single-depth 3-room plan.
EXTERIOR: single storey and attic; 1:3-window range. No.34 has
a left-hand entrance in the left-hand gable with a 4-panel
door, timber lintels to horned plate-glass sashes with margin
panes, a similar single ground-floor sash in the street front,
and a small light in the apex; No.36 has a right-hand recessed
doorway, with three C19 casements the 2 left-hand ones in
former doorways, and 2 outer gabled dormers with casements.
INTERIOR: No.36 altered c1980, details include a 3-bay roof
with tenoned purlins and lapped cambered collars, a large,
altered left-hand chimney breast, with on the basement a
curved section of wall against the street to the left of the
chimney of a former stair.
