Formerly known as: Ey House WHITE CROSS ROAD.
House. 1846. Yellow brick. Slate roof.
EXTERIOR: 2 storeys. 3- by 4-bay rectangular block, the
corners defined by paired pilaster strips and the windows
recessed. Central bay of west return also with paired pilaster
strips and pediment. Rusticated brick doorcase under
entablature. Fenestration of 6/6 unhorned sashes with stuccoed
aprons and gauged skewback arches. Hipped roof with 3 square
stacks.
INTERIOR: staircase hall has open screen on landing and curved
open-well, stick baluster staircase with mahogany handrail.
Contemporary marble fireplace, and 2 late C18 coloured marble
fireplaces, re-used. Contemporary doors, door surrounds, etc.
