House, now 2 houses. Late C16 or early C17. Timber-frame and
plaster; stone-tile roof with gable to road, and rooflet to
rubble external stack with spurred composite brick chimneys,
to left returned side.
EXTERIOR: 2 storeys and attic; single-window range: C20
3-light casement, between chevron-braced panels, under moulded
bressumer on consoles, to gable head. C19 4-light casement
with clerestory lights, in beaded frame, in post and panel
framing under moulded bressumer on consoles.
Left returned side: C19 casement. Wing to rear with spurred
brick lateral stack; rubble lean-to with recessed entrance
flanked by 2 C19 3-light casements.
Right returned side: chevron bracing with C19 4-light casement
under simple hood, over moulded bressumer on enriched
consoles, and post and panel framing.
Wing to right (No.146): of similar materials, with C19 spurred
end stack; single-storey and attic; plank door to right, under
gable with C20 2-light casement; C19 3-light casement;
advanced gabled wing with C20 bay window under pentice roof;
roof dormer with 2-light casement.
INTERIOR: not inspected.
