House. Mid C18 and later. Brick, formerly colourwashed; plain
tile roof; brick end stacks.
EXTERIOR: 2 storeys; 5-window range: central 8/8 sash, and 6/6
sashes, in moulded cases. Central entrance: half-glazed
panelled door and fanlight in panelled round-headed reveals,
under modillioned wood open pediment hood on entablature
blocks and plain pilasters; flanked by 6/1 sashes in moulded
cases under segmental arches; storey band.
Right returned side: 3 C20-blocked openings and C20 casement,
with 2 C18 casements to gable.
Sandstone rubble wing to left, with French windows and
fanlight, under deep jetty with C20 casement over. Further
rubble wing with rubble lateral stack with 4 linked brick
chimneys; oriel with coved underhang and margin-glazed sashes,
over moulded stone mullion window, to left returned side.
Single-storey and attic wing to rear: brick chimney; 2 gables
with lattice-glazed leaded casements, under modillioned
bargeboards with pendant finials; dressed sandstone porch with
studded plank door under 4-centred arch; C20 stable-doors, and
casements and carriage-doors.
