House. 1912-13 by Sir Edwin Lutyens. Grey brick with red dressings and
chaƮnage. Coved plaster cornice to old tile hipped roof, 2 ridge stacks
off-centre to left and right, end stack to right and stack to left at
rear. Central hipped dormer with 2-light casement and 2 hipped dormers
to south-west. 2 storeys and attic; 7 bays, glazing bar sashes with
exposed wooden boxes and segmental heads, those on ground floor taller.
Central 6-panelled door, 2 bottom panels flush, rest fielded, panelled
reveals and rectangular overlight with diamond glazing bars. Doorcase
with three-quater Tuscan columns supporting entablature with triple
keystone, and segmental pediment, breaking forward over columns.
