Near this place lieth the body of John Collin, Esq, who departed this life 18th jun 1717 in the 45th year of his age. He married Mary daughter of George Langford, gent. and Judith his wife, by whom he had issue four sons and six daughters viz. Abell, Thomas, John, Samuel and George. Ann, Mary, Judith and Ann. Ann Samuel and George died in their infancy before him. Abell collin d. 8th Aug 1730, Judith Collin d. d. 7th Feb 1739,. Monumemnt placed by his widow. Arms: Vert a griffin segreant or, beaked and membered gules, on a chief indented argent, two crosses formee of the third. Crest: a talbots head erased per fesse indented or and sable eared and charged on the neck with a cross formee gules (Collin). Impaling, Of six or and gules, over all a bend argent. (Langford). At the bottom of the monument two winged cherubs heads. (Photo Sept 2014).
