House, now offices. c1830. Probably by PF Robinson for the 4th
Duke of Newcastle. Altered and restored mid and late C20.
Stucco with slate roofs and 2 side wall stacks.
Rusticated ground floor, moulded eaves cornice and blocking
course. Windows are mainly original glazing bar sashes. 3
storeys plus basement and attics; 3:1 windows. The building
comprises the end bay of a terrace and a corner feature at the
north entrance to the Park Estate.
Street front has to left a 3-window block with corniced first
floor windows with renewed balconies. Basement has 2
segment-arched windows and door. Attic has 3 casements.
Projecting corner block, to right, single bay, has corniced
first floor windows and a pedimented gable to the right
return.
This building forms an important feature at the entrance to
the Park Estate.
