Terrace of 6 houses, now offices, and attached railings.
c1830. Probably by PF Robinson for the 4th Duke of Newcastle.
Altered and restored mid and late C20. Stucco, with slate
roofs and 6 rendered ridge stacks. Basements concrete and blue
brick. Rusticated ground floor, first floor sill band, coped
parapet. Windows are mainly original glazing bar sashes. 3
storeys plus basement and attics; 12 window range. Ground
floor has mainly original fielded panelled doors with
overlights, and 12-pane sashes. First floor has tall sashes
with cornices, 4 to right with cast-iron balcony brackets.
Above, 9-pane sashes. Attics have late C20 box dormers.
Projecting basements, rebuilt late C20, mainly as parking
spaces.
Outside, at ground floor level, mainly original cast-iron
railings between the houses and across the front.
