GV II

House. Mid C17, extended to rear and refronted in early C19.
Limestone ashlar with rubble sides, slate roof, large rear
external stack and rear gable stack. 2-room parallel plan,
with hall/kitchen to left heated by large rear lateral stack,
extended to L-plan with right-hand rear wing.
2 storeys and attic; 3-window range. Front has pilasters,
cornice and parapet; right-hand doorway has a plain surround
and bracketed pediment to a 6-panel door with glazed top
panels. Windows have architraves to 6/6-pane sashes, with a
round-arched first-floor window over the door with imposts and
key to 4/4-pane sash; 2 hipped dormers with casements.
Left-hand rear large external stack with gabled top. Rear
range set at an angle to the front rebuilt with coursed,
squared rubble to upper floors, with a first-floor 6/6-pane
sash in an exposed frame.
INTERIOR: remodelled in C19, details include an entrance stair
hall with C20 stair, panelled doors and shutters; roof not
seen.
