Inscription -Sacred to the Memory of Mr William Parker of Sheffield, merchant, who departed this life the 4th September 1837 aged 72 years. This monument was erected by the merchants and manufacturers of Sheffield commercially connected with the deceased in token of their high esteem for his public and private character-.
