James Montgomery Memorial Drinking
Fountain

II

Memorial drinking fountain. c1875. Erected in memory of James
Montgomery, journalist and hymnologist. Ashlar. Square
pedestal with chamfered plinth and moulded cap, with a
restored round-arched drinking fountain on one side, and
topped with a cast-iron lamp. Square base with illegible
inscription, and round-cornered steps.
