GV II

Range of Little Mesters' workshops, now gymnasium and
warehouse. Early C19 with late C20 alterations. Painted brick
with hipped slate roof with 2 rear wall stacks. Plinth, wooden
gutter on wooden brackets.
3 storeys; 8 window range. End-on to street. Street end has a
plain sash and above it a blocked window, both with brick flat
arches. Below, a C19 wooden shopfront with 9-pane shop window
to left, and moulded 4-panel door with overlight to right,
both with pilastered surrounds and wooden cornice. Left return
has to left, 3 brick buttresses. First floor has, to left, a
door reached by external stone steps and to its right, 3
reglazed windows. To right again, 2 early C19 3-light glazing
bar casements, then 2 C20 cross casements. Above, to left, 5
reglazed windows and to right, three 3-light glazing bar
casements. Ground floor has to left a window flanked to left
by a C20 double door and to right by 2 blocked openings, then
an elliptical arched carriage opening with double board doors,
then 3 reglazed windows.
INTERIOR may contain grinding hulls.
This workshop block was formerly associated with No.92A, the
master's house (qv).
