Pair of cottages in row. Early to mid C19. Coursed and squared
Portland stone, tile roof.
2 storeys, 2+3 windows; all 3-light casements, at ground floor
with haunched segmental brick arches. Plank doors to bays 2
and 4. At the right end an extra bay added, also C19, with a
small 2-light flush dormer above plank door with segmental
head, and at the left end is a one-storey lean-to, with plank
door. There are gable and central square brick ridge stacks.
Rear is of plain rubble, with a C20 lean-to addition at the
centre.
INTERIOR: not inspected.
These cottages hold an important position visually where the
principal route and Church Street divide at a Y-junction.
