C16 or earlier refronted C18, timber frame. Slate hung painted front 3 storeys
with parapet. Steep hipped old tile roof. 3 windows to upper floors, one
dummy right hand second floor, flush framed sashes, later glazing. Modern
shop fronts. Rear eldvation, stone gable and 2 small gables, No 46A tile hung.
Irregular windows including original 2 light timber window with ogee headed
lights.

The Poultry Cross and Nos 36 to 52 (even) form a group. The rear elevations
of Nos 1 to 17 (odd) Minster Street form a group with the rear elevation of
Nos 36 to 52 (even) and with St Thomas's Church, St Thomas's Square.
