Public house. C18. Colourwashed stucco, red pantiled roof. 2 storeys with attics, irregular 7 window facade. Probably C17 in origin, interior details largely C18 and C19, exterior largely C19. Ground floor has 2 inserted c.1900 3 window canted bows. To west one plate glass sash in ugged stucco architrave, repeated for 7 first floor windows. Off centre c.1800 doorcase with fluted pilasters and frieze. Stucco plinth and end quoins, moulded cornice. Steeply pitched roof with 4 dormers with slate cheeks, wedge roofs, sashes with glazing bars. 2 end and one off centre stacks. Interior: room to east has early C18 wooden panelling, 6 panel raised and fielded doors. Unusual curved door c.1820 set in architrave with paterae in entrance lobby.
