House. C17, altered C19. Timber-framed, stucco and
colourwashed pebbledash walls; old tile roof, hipped to front,
gabled to rear. 2 storeys. Front truncated and brick faced
when New Road constructed northwards from Kibes Lane in 1830s.
Stuccoed brick front, 2 sash windows, and 2 doors, left and
right, on ground floor, first floor 2 sash windows, all
recessed in stuccoed reveals. Corbelled eaves and parapet
follows lower half gable of roof. In rear gable there is an
exposed braced tie-beam truss with queen struts. There was a
former maltings range to the south, running eastwards, now
demolished.
