GV II

Formerly silk weaving shed and cottage, now a house: late C18 English
garden wall bond red brick, partly thatched roof, and partly Welsh
slate roof. 2 brick chimneys. Long rectangular plan. 1 and 2-storey
6-bay front. Left 3 bays of 1 storey with thatched roof, were former
weaving shed and now have a door and 2 C20 2-light wooden casements
with applied lead glazing. 3 bays to right of 2 storeys with slate
roof. Framed and boarded door at left. Remainder has 3-light wooden
casements with small pane leaded glazing, (mostly original), under
cambered brick heads below and flat heads above.

With Briercot and Laburnum Cottage (q.v.), this forms a terrace of
silk weavers' houses and workshops.
