Formerly farmhouse, now a house: mid to late C18 with C20 additions.
Flemish bond purple brick, Kerridge stone-slate roof, stone ridge and
2 brick chimneys. 2-storey, symmetrical 3-bay front. End bays have
3-light wooden casements under cambered brick heads. Central bay
steps forward slightly under a simple triangular pediment. Board door
behind added open timber gabled porch which has 3-light casement above
and elliptical light in pediment. C20 extension to right in keeping
and lean-to greenhouse to left.

A former Stanley farmhouse of the same design as Higher House
Farmhouse, Over Alderley (q.v.).
