Farmhouse now private house. Probably early C18. Stone rubble, rendered and painted
on ground floor and slate hung with rag slates above. Bitumen coated rag slate roof
with gable ends and hipped end to stair projection on rear. Stone rubble end stacks
and stone rubble end stack to kitchen on rear left.
Plan: Double depth plan with central entrance flanked by two principal rooms heated
by end stacks. Narrow service rooms to rear with kitchen on left and dairy on right,
flanking a central dog-leg stair. Small C20 extension added to rear right.
Exterior: Two storeys. Almost symmetrical 3-window front hung with rag slates above
ground floor. C20 porch near centre flanked by two C20 P.V.C. windows with three on
first floor, all in original openings. Rear elevation with stair turret rising above
the lower service rooms. The roof of the chamber above the dairy (now a bathroom)
has been raised.
Interior: Wide passage. Simple C18 dog-leg stair with ramped rail, square newel and
stick balusters.
