Ice House, probably mid C19. In red brick under earth mound. A spherical chamber,
approximately 4 metres in diameter, partly below ground level, approached along a
short tunnel. The chamber is built in stretcher bond and has a small door opening,
with rebated stone blocks to head and jambs, at the inner end. A stone step, at the
outer end of the tunnel, gives the position of the original external entrance. The
ice house was constructed near to a pond from which ice was obtainable during winter.
