Late C16 house with alterations of 1743 and added mid C19 cottage now altered to
form 6 dwellings. Hammer dressed stone, stone slate roof. 2 storeys with added
attic storey mid C18. U-shaped plan with projecting wings without gables under
catslide roof with main range. C19 cottage (south view) has 3-light flat
faced mullioned window to each floor and doorway with monolithic jambs. This
is attached to west wing (No 3) with quoins marking the division. 4-light
chamfered mullioned window with 5-light flat faced mullioned window over to 1st
floor. Right hand return wall of wing has basket arched doorway with chamfered
jambs. Hall range at right angles, has double chamfered mullioned window of 5
arched lights with sunken spandrels with the same only with single chamfer
to 1st floor. Inserted doorway with monolithic jambs to left of through-passage
doorway with basket arched lintel with chamfered surround (altered to window).
lst floor has 2 windows of 2 arched lights (lacking mullions). 2nd floor has 2
flat faced mullioned windows of 4 lights (most blocked). East wing breaks
forward and is largely remodelled with main entry in right hand return wall
which has wide gable with quoins and kneeler (to left). 3-bay symmetrical
facade 2-light sashed windows either side of central bay with aisle doorway with
composite jambs and chamfered surround with chamfered windows over to 1st floor
and attic. Attached is added C19 cell. Rear has wide doorway with Tudor arch
and chamfered surround, the lintel inscribed "1748", to rear of through passage,

To left is chamfered window with 2-light window over with arched heads to light
stair; 6-light chamfered mullioned window with same over to lst floor; inserted
doorway with monolithic jambs; 3-light chamfered window (lacks mullions) with 5-
light flat faced mullioned window over to 1st floor. 3 stacks to ridge.
Interior: Dog-leg stair open string with turned balusters and ramped handrail
possibly contemporary with date inscribed on rear door, c.1748.
