Early C19. 3 storey. Hipped slate roof. Brick front. Moulded and dentilled
eaves cornice. 3 window bays to New Haven Hotel; 2 to No 2. Sashes with brick
arches over and keystones. In New Haven Hotel, 3-light sashes to either end
on 1st floor and ground floor. Pilastered doorway with entablature; 6-Panelled
door. 3-light sashes to left hand on ground and 1st floors in No 2. 6-panelled
door; doorcase frame formerly with triangular pediment over.

Nos 1 and 2 Pound Street form a group with The Peek Memorial Chapel, Hotel Alexandra,
Nos 1 and 2 Alexandra Cottage, Nos 5 & 6 St Michael's Hotel all in Pound Street, and
also with the Stile House Hotel and wall in Stile Lane, Nos 1 and 2 also form a
group with the Langmoor and the Baptist Church, Silver Street and with Nos 34 to 36
(consec) Broad Street.
