Pair of attached houses. c1840. Limestone ashlar, roof not
visible. Double-depth plan. Italianate style. 3 storeys and
basement; 4-window range. A symmetrical pair with the middle
section stepped forward and raised slightly, banded
rustication to the ground floor, first-floor pilasters to the
corners and centre and a cornice and parapet. Porches in the
returns have pilasters to an entablature and 2 semicircular
arches, the inner ones with a 6-panel door, the outer ones
open to the rear garden. 6/6-pane sashes to the centre,
smaller on the second floor, in shallow recesses, and 4/4-pane
sashes to the outer blocks. INTERIOR not inspected. Shares a
similar plan with Nos 26-32 (qv).
