SW8244NW ST GEORGE'S ROAD 880-1/6/274 (North side) Nos.15 AND 16 and attached forecourt walls and railings

Pair of houses in row. Mid C19. Stucco; dry Delabole slate roof with projecting eaves at the front; brick chimneys over the cross party walls; cast-iron ogee gutter to No.16 (right). Pair of mirror-image-plan houses with parallel entrance halls together in the centre. Each house has a reception room at the front and service rooms behind. 2 storeys over basement; 4-window range. Symmetrical overall front with pair of doorways, in the centre, with flanking pilasters carrying a moulded entablature; original panelled doors with overlights; quoin strip at far right; original hornless sashes with glazing bars. No.16 has moulded architraves. INTERIORS not inspected. SUBSIDIARY FEATURES; shallow basement forecourts have front retaining walls surmounted by iron railings with turned finials.
