II

Fisherman's hut. C19. Squared coursed block or rubble, felt
roofs. In two units, forming one rectangular unit parallel
with coast. To SW, at Lighthouse (qv) end, a small single-cell
one-storey building with very large stone block front
containing wide plank door to simple opening; left gable has
series of large crow-step kneelers and stone stack with
capping over rubble walling. At the back is a blocked doorway,
centre. To right a longer two-room space to common ridge line
but at lower pitch than adjoining; full height opening to
left, then normal plank door and a square opening to rendered
lintel. Plain rubble return gable, but some very large quoin
stones set low. Back has been slightly raised. A rare
