3 houses. Late C16 and later. Timber-framed and plastered with
2 gabled clay plain tile roofs, machine-made in part. Part
2-storey and part 1-storey with attics.
EXTERIOR: No.703 has gabled dormer with 2-light C20 casement.
No.701 has 3-light flat-roofed C20 dormer. Large stack through
ridgeline of No.703 and small rendered stack against east
gable of Rockhaven which also has a lean-to roofed
single-storey porch extension. Windows are a mixture of C19
and C20 casements; those to No.699 having small panes and top
vents. Substantial C20 extensions on rear.
INTERIOR: No.703 has C17 inglenook stack with chamfered mantel
beam and big, flat chamfered bridging joist with plain stops
and flat section joists of probable late C16. No.701 has large
jowled post in rear wall of ground floor.
