Group of 4 monuments. Late C17 and early C18. Sandstone. In row from north
to south as follows:-
(i) Slab: Thomas Hird (d.1722) and Mary his wife (d.1728);
moulded border with scrolls at corners; raised decorated initial
"H", raised and decorated date 1722 in sunk panel.
(ii) Slab: Christopher Longbottam ld.1695); incised border, decorated
initial "H".
(iii) Slab: Jeremiah, 4th son of Thomas Hird (d.1717); elegant lettering
set in arched architrave of primitive design with large capitals,
winged angel heads in spandrels.
(iv) Slab: Thomas, 3rd son of Thomas Hird (d.1706); finely lettered,
moulded border with scrolls at corners.
