Pair of attached houses. 1856. Built by JC Lee. Limestone
ashlar with party wall stacks and a concrete tile hipped roof.
Double-depth plan. Italianate style.
Each of 3 storeys and basement; 1-window range. A symmetrical
front has 1-window entrance blocks set back, banded ground
floor to a band of linked raised intersecting circles,
second-floor sill band, and bracketed eaves. Moulded
semicircular-arched doorways have plate-glass fanlights and
6-panel doors. Ground-floor 3-light bays have
semicircular-arched windows with barleysugar colonnettes and
balcony balustrades pierced like the band; paired first-floor
windows with central barleysugar colonnettes, wide curved side
brackets and consoles to segmental pediments, and
semicircular-arched second-floor windows; plate glass to
ground floor, 2/2-pane sashes to upper floors.
INTERIOR not inspected. An unusually richly decorated
Italianate villa.
